The organisation representing the country’s banks has pushed back at Federated Farmers' criticism, saying the rural lending market is “competitive, stable, and adaptable”.The farmers' lobby group has been calling for parliament’s primary production select committee to launch a formal inquiry into the rural lending sector, saying it has observed a “steady and significant” decline in communication, service and willingness to lend by New Zealand’s major lenders, ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Rabobank and Westpac....
