Demand for red meat has shifted ahead of supply and is forecast to stay that way for some time, Silver Fern Farms’ chief executive Dan Boulton says.Despite the current geopolitical environment, product prices have strongly recovered from their lows of the past couple of seasons as demand returned from key export markets, helped, in part, by tighter global production.Boulton said they signalled the turnaround would come, and it had started to flow through to the farmgate late last year.Market pricing, he said, had improved and demand in mo...
