Carter Holt Harvey has said timber supply issues at Independent Timber Merchants (ITM) were of its own making and the building supplies company is now blaming others to divert attention from its own “poor procurement decisions”.In a final submission on the Commerce Commission’s building supplies market study, Carter Holt said the firm had engaged with ITM on a number of occasions prior to the shortages of 2021, aiming to enter into a long-term supply relationship with the co-operative.The volley follows ITM’s own submiss...
