Signature Homes, one of the country’s biggest franchise builders, says its price to build a house has increased by an average of $84,000 over the past nine months.The company, the second biggest builder by value after GJ Gardner Homes, will this year sell an estimated 840 homes, generating revenue of about $430 million across its 15 national franchise operators.That’s down slightly on its average over recent years of about 1,000 homes, while prices are variable given the firm’s national coverage.
