Under-resourcing of Standards New Zealand is leading to poor outcomes in the building sector, the professional body for engineers says.The national standards body was working hard, but unsustainable funding meant it was not delivering the results needed, Richard Templer, chief executive of Engineering NZ, said.“Poor quality standards can risk public safety and have costly consequences.
