Kiwi shoppers spent more on Boxing Day this year than in 2023, but spending in the lead-up to Christmas was down, according to data from payment solutions provider Worldline.Consumer spending through non-food core retail merchants on the Worldline network reached $67.7 million on Boxing Day, up 13.1% on 2023.Auckland/Northland recorded a 9.5% boost in spending to reach $28.4m.
