Food prices were 8.3% higher in September than the same time last year, remaining at a 13-year high. Meanwhile, the prices for rental properties have seen a steady increase. This morning, Statistics New Zealand released its monthly food and rental price index for September, which showed that food prices still tracking up. September's annual food price rise was also the same as August, but higher than the 7.4% recorded in July.  Compared with September 2021, grocery food prices increased 7.7%, fruit and vegetable prices w...
