Lockdowns dragged Briscoe's 3rd Qtr sales down 14.1%

Briscoe Group's third-quarter sales fell 14.1% due to the latest covid lockdown but the company still expects to meet its forecast that annual net profit will be higher than last year's $73.2 million and up to $85m.The homewares and sporting goods retailer's stores were all closed for 21 days from Aug 18, and its Auckland stores were shut for 75 days of the 91-day quarter.The company said its Auckland stores typically contribute about 25% of group total sales.In addition, Briscoe's five Waikato stores were closed for 49 days of...
