Kiwibank makes move into startup finance

Kiwibank has launched a pilot scheme for startups, allowing selected companies up to $150,000 in loan finance.   The pilot initiative, called Kiwibank Startup+, was officially launched on June 25. It includes discounted lending rates tailored for individual customers as well as fee waivers for transaction bank accounts and a specialist support team.Kiwibank says banks, including itself, have been too quick to turn down startup businesses when they request loans.The bank is working with startup incubator Ministry of Awesome (MoA) to se...
