A former banker turned Hawke’s Bay farmer has created a peer-to-peer lending app designed to simplify and formalise loan agreements between family and friends.Amico, which translates to “friend” in Italian, was launched last week by Tom Aitken along with Melbourne-based business partner and co-founder Kris Hunter.The app, designed to reduce the complexities and risks of informal loans, offers a structured and legally binding solution and is believed to be the first of its kind in New Zealand.“It is really trying to help...
