There is little sign of the anticipated Auckland surge in the Far North, particularly from Kerikeri upwards, with just two days left before Christmas.Hospitality operators are extremely anxious as they are highly dependent on the December to February period for the bulk of their income.The trip up last weekend was uneventful as the police and Māori wardens at the state highway one checkpoint were efficient and friendly.
