Upgrades to the Kaiwharawhara ferry terminal near Wellington, including land reclamation, have been referred for fast-track consent by environment minister David Parker.The work is part of $900 million in upgrades to Interislander ferry terminal facilities at both Wellington and Picton ferry sites, and comes under the government's $1.45 billion interisland resilient connection programme investment package. The Waitohi Picton port redevelopment was granted consent in May last year, also under the covid fast-track process.The streamlined...
