Briscoe Group has announced record half-year sales of $372.1 million, representing a 0.77% increase from the same period last year.

Sales in the company's homeware segment grew 0.28%, while the sporting goods segment performed even better with a 1.58% increase in sales.

Online sales also continued to contribute to Briscoe's strong performance, accounting for 18.77% of group sales.

Additionally, the group's inventory level was around 10% lower than last year.

However, Briscoe Group expects its underlying trading net profit after tax for the first half to be approximately 94% of last year, but not less than $40m.

The company will release its half-year results, including the declaration of an interim dividend, on September 11.
