New Zealand King Salmon has reported a decline in net profit for the 2025 financial year.

The company's net profit for the year was $13.4 million, down from $28.5m in the previous year.

However, pro-forma ebitda increased to $29.7m, compared to $24.5m in FY24.

Revenues also rose, reaching $210.9m, up 13% from $187.1m.

New Zealand King Salmon attributed the increase in revenue to its entry into a significant government partnership under the Ministry for Primary Industries Sustainable Food and Fibres Futures fund.

The company said it experienced elevated mortality at the start of the 2026 financial year, which will result in a reduction in harvest and earnings.

The board provided pro-forma ebitda guidance of $15m-$24m for FY26.
