Precinct Properties New Zealand Limited (Precinct) has announced the acquisition of 61 Molesworth Street in Wellington, leased to the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) and the development of a 24,000 square metre office building on the site.

The building, with 11 levels, will include a lobby café, meeting suites, and end of trip facilities, and is expected to be seismically resilient and environmentally-focused.

The total cost of the project is estimated at $250 million, with completion expected in Q3 2025.
