The Warehouse Group appoints Caroline Rainsford as Director
The Board of The Warehouse Group Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Caroline Rainsford as a full director.
The Warehouse Group Chair Joan Withers said she was delighted that Caroline is joining The Warehouse Group Board following a year participating in their Future Directors programme.
“Caroline has a very special mix of skills and experience and as a Board, we’ve found her passion for technology as well as her strategic insights highly valuable as The Warehouse Group continues its digital transformation at pace.
“Following Will Easton standing down from our Board in May 2022, we have been considering our director mix and wanted to ensure that we have the right digital strategy and partnership experience around our table.
“While Caroline’s role as a Future Director was due to continue to February 2023, we have decided to appoint her as a full director at this time. Our digital ecosystem is a key area of focus for The Warehouse Group and Caroline’s contribution will be important.
“The Future Directors programme aims to develop the next generation of directors and Caroline’s appointment is an acknowledgment of the success of this Institute of Directors initiative, which was co-founded by Sir Stephen Tindall. We appreciate the IOD’s support as we take this unusual step of appointing a Future Director to a full directorship position”.
Caroline is currently the Country Director for Google NZ, where she is responsible for driving the overall revenue and business strategy for New Zealand and partnering with Government, policy teams and New Zealand business leaders.
Prior to joining Google in 2017, Caroline was the Marketing and Product Director for the Latitude NZ (previously GE Capital) business as well as the Brand Director for the broader Australian and New Zealand region. Her earlier career included roles with Philips in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
Caroline holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from the University of Auckland.
