Sanford Director Announcement
New Zealand seafood company Sanford Limited (NZX: SAN) is announcing the resignation of Mark Cairns as a member of its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Mr Cairns says “I have enjoyed my time on the Sanford Board, but it has become necessary for me to manage my diverse responsibilities as a director of several listed companies. Being appointed Chair of Freightways has prompted me to seek to rationalise my commitments. I wish Sanford and my fellow Directors all the best for the future.”
Sanford Chair Sir Rob McLeod says he is grateful to Mr Cairns for his nearly two years of service to the Sanford Board, however he understands the reasons for the decision. “Mark has been a valuable member of the Board, but the demands on his time as a director of multiple listed companies make his decision to refocus entirely understandable. We thank him for his contribution to Sanford.”

“It's a NZ innovation that Australians can't steal," says Ryman's COO.
The S&P/NZX 50 Index closed at 12,904.11, up 149.96 points or 1.18%.
Cost savings were behind the decision to delist, the company says.
