Downer EDI Limited (Downer) today announced that Peter Watson has decided to resign from his role as Independent Non-executive Director of the Company.
Mr Watson’s resignation will take effect no later than 30 June 2023.
Acting Chairman Mark Menhinnitt said “Board renewal is an important focus during this period of transition.”
“On behalf of the Board I thank Peter for his dedication to Downer and acknowledge his many contributions to the Company.
Mr Menhinnitt will become Chairman of Downer’s Tender Risk Evaluation Committee with immediate effect.
The S&P/NZX 50 Index closed at the day’s low of 12,349.47, down 46.79 points or 0.38%.
Forsyth Barr says a premium valuation is now warranted.
The only worst performer is the Norwegian krone.
