Booster is pleased to announce the addition of Avasa to the Booster Innovation Fund (BIF) portfolio.
Avasa operates in the medical device part of the life sciences and medical technologies sector. It specialises in the development of a unique medical device aiding in complex artery and vein reconstruction. It was formed in 2018, and is classified as seed stage, with its technology first backed by the University of Auckland.
BIF will make a cash investment of $150,000. Following this transaction (and issue of additional units to fund the purchase), Avasa will represent 1.0% of BIF’s investment portfolio of 34 companies, and with a net asset value of over $15m.
Investors can continue to purchase units in BIF on the NZX or can subscribe for units in the fund as part of the process described in the fund’s Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) that is available at www.booster.co.nz
