Transport and logistics group, MOVE Logistics Group Limited (NZX/ASX: MOV), wishes to advise of changes to the Board.

Chris Dunphy will step down as a Director from 28 March 2024, to focus on personal enterprises. Chris has been an active member of the Board for the last three years, taking on the role of Acting CEO for a period of time as the company commenced a strategic reset. The Board thanks Chris for his valued contributions. He remains a significant and supportive shareholder in MOVE.

The Board is also pleased to announce the appointment of two new Directors, Greg Kern and Greg Whitham.

Mr Whitham and Mr Kern have been appointed following a request from substantial shareholders representing over 30% of MOVE’s issued capital. This shareholder group has communicated its support of the company, the new leadership team and the strategy being put in place to strengthen and grow the business. They are passionate about MOVE, its heritage and the important role it plays in New Zealand’s supply chain infrastructure.

Greg Whitham was one of the original founding partners of the group and was Chief Financial Officer from 1996. He worked closely with the executive team over many years to build enduring customer relationships and expand the scale of MOVE and the services it offers. He retired from the company in 2019, following its successful transition to a listed company. Greg is a substantial shareholder in MOVE, holding approx. 7% of issued capital. The Board has determined that he will be a non-executive, non-independent Director.

Greg Kern was an advisor on the reverse listing of MOVE in 2017 and a director until April 2019. He is managing director of Kern Group, a corporate advisory firm in Australia, and has particular experience in strategic planning and corporate structure, as well as strong networks across the Australian investment market. He is a chartered Accountant, a registered company auditor and registered taxation agent. The Board has determined that he will be a non-executive, non-independent Director given his connection with the substantial shareholders.

Lorraine Witten said: “We are pleased to welcome Greg Kern and Greg Whitham to the Board. They both come with an indepth knowledge of the sector and familiarity with the MOVE business. We appreciate the support of our shareholders as we continue to position MOVE as a leading Australasian supply chain entity and realise its potential.”

Mr Kern and Mr Whitham have been appointed by the Board, as permitted under the Company’s Constitution, effective from today. They will hold office until MOVE’s 2024 Annual Meeting at which time they will stand for election by shareholders.
