The whole of New Zealand will stay in level 4 lockdown until at least 11.59pm next Tuesday, Aug 24.The prime minister, Jacinda Ardern, announced the extension to the three-day lockdown that had been announced for all parts of the country other than Auckland and the Coromandel region, where a lockdown until Aug 24 was already in place.That follows the discovery of the covid-19 delta variant among three people in Wellington.
