Manila virus crackdown shuts Spark, Stuff call centres

Call centres used by Spark New Zealand and Stuff have been shut by coronavirus-driven movement restrictions the Philippines government has imposed in Manila. Spark said its customer care centres in the Philippines capital were temporarily closed and that calls will be redirected to its local centres. “The closure is a result of the government decision, not due to an identified case of covid-19 within the call centres,” the country’s biggest telco said in a statement.
