A high court judge has dismissed businessman George Kerr’s claim that he and related entities didn’t owe Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) more than $60 million. He tried to argue the bank had brought the claim too late.BNZ took Kerr to the high court at Auckland, along with Lothian Partners Capital (LPC) and Pyne Holdings Limited (PHL) – which is in receivership – alleging he was liable for more than $60 million under loan facilities dating back almost 15 years ago.However, Kerr, who comes from a well-known South Island bu...
