The Government has yet to establish the company it said it was setting up to procure Interislander ferries.On Dec 11 last year, Finance Minister Nicola Willis said the Government was establishing a Schedule 4A company under the Public Finance Act to do the procurement, freeing up KiwiRail to focus on safely operating the existing fleet.That still hasn’t happened.Willis made the announcement alongside the newly appointed Minister for Rail, Winston Peters, who now has the responsibility of finding a solution to replace the ferries. Pet...
