The solicitors for the late Michael Kidd were not entitled to organise a transfer of US$17.6 million (NZ$24.8m) without leave from the judge and before the judgment was sealed, the high court at Auckland has found.A decades-long dispute between Kidd and former business partner Alexander van Heeren culminated with Justice Pheroze Jagose giving an interim judgment in June and awarding US$17.6m to Kidd, following the 21-day hearing in March.On June 16, van Heeren sought a stay of the order pending determination of his potential appeal.However...
