Stranded foreigners may be able to leave NZ as early as tomorrow

Tens of thousands of stranded foreigners will be able to leave New Zealand as early as tomorrow, according to Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters.Foreign nationals returning home will be allowed to travel domestically - either by land or air - when they have a confirmed and scheduled international flight out of New Zealand, Peters said in a statement. Foreign governments can charter flights to repatriate their citizens that satisfy New Zealand health requirements.
