The Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) is strengthening its professional conduct framework after a large majority of members voted in favour of changes.Nearly 6,500 members voted on 14 resolutions to amend what are society “by-laws” in Australia and “rules” in NZ, with approval rates ranging between 77% and 92%.There was about 80% support for resolutions to strengthen the investigative powers of its Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) and to significantly increase the fines for firm events.For case...
