2025 looks to be the year that New Zealand medicinal cannabis companies break into the international market.The chief executive of Helius Therapeutics, Carmen Doran, said the goal was always to build a global company, but that tight export rules for NZ products made it difficult.“New Zealand is too small a market for what we're doing here.”These rules, which were changed in July 2024, meant products with cannabis-based ingredients could only be exported if they met both the standards of NZ regulators and of the importing nations...
