Kiwifruit marketer Zespri has delayed the start of its European sales season by a week due to mouse activity in the fruit holds of its first charter vessel into the port of Zeebrugge, Belgium.  Evidence of the rodents was identified in some parts of the ship during Zespri’s standard clearance process. Chief operating officer Jason Te Brake said the fruit has been quarantined while inspections continue.This will ensure all affected fruit is identified and destroyed.
