Wools of NZ floors its new wool carpet strategy

Wools of New Zealand says it already has its first order from a major construction firm for enough wool carpets to lay in 71 homes, as it launches its foray into the branded wool flooring market.In his latest note to wool grower shareholders, chief executive John McWhirter said the company had identified a "gap in the market for good quality wool carpets at an affordable price.”McWhirter, the former head of food manufacturer Hellers, said the firm had secured the order on the strength of making wool carpet affordable, and by doing so...
