Dunedin city council has struck a $13.2 million deal with Harness Racing New Zealand to buy the 12-hectare Forbury Park in St Kilda.The former harness and greyhound racing venue and one of the biggest sections of undeveloped land remaining in Otago’s largest city has lain dormant since the club held its final meeting in July 2021.The Otago Jockey Club originally used the park from 1871 to 1899 before the Tahuna Park Trotting Club bought it for £6,250 ($12,500).City mayor Jules Radich said the purchase will be funded through the city...
