The last calendar year saw fewer liquidations than the year prior, with companies hanging on despite the impact of covid-19.  But insolvency practitioners warn many business closures may not be recognised in the official statistics.Figures from the Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association New Zealand (RITANZ), show liquidations for the calendar year 2021 were down to 1,261 from 1,443 the year prior, a 12.6% drop.In 2018, there were 1,869 liquidations.However, it appears creditors may be becoming impatient as the number of cour...
