SkyCity Entertainment staff are on site gearing up to reopen if covid-19 restrictions are further eased and Fletcher Construction now has until Jan 2025 to finish the convention centre and hotel project because the pandemic is considered a force majeure event. “At alert level 2, SkyCity expects to re-open its New Zealand properties in a staged manner with reduced operating hours, initially based on expected customer demand,” it said.
