The market update from The Warehouse Group caught my attention this week.Not so much for the results themselves, which highlighted challenging conditions, with sales in the last six months of 2024 down 1.6% compared to the second half of 2023.As a comparison, retail sales – excluding fuel, motor vehicles, alcohol, accommodation, hardware and building materials – were up 0.5%. That is hardly an economic breeze at your back, but it’s still a positive number.
