Covid-19 causes major aviation company to cut 10% staff

Major aviation services company Oceania Aviation is restructuring its fixed-wing maintenance division, reducing total staff numbers by about 10%.In a statement to BusinessDesk, chief executive Greg Edmonds said the company announced the “difficult” decision last week. The restructure would “realign our resources to the short-term demand being seen as a result of the ongoing covid-19 lockdowns”, he said. Oceania Aviation, a subsidiary of the Solus Aviation group, provides maintenance, repair and overhaul service...
