Covid tailwind creates record first-half profit for Ebos

Ebos Group latched on to the covid-19 tailwind behind many healthcare companies to notch up a record first-half profit.The company lifted net profit to A$101.9 million (NZ$109.8m) in the six months ended Dec 31 from A$94.3m a year earlier on a 12.8% increase in revenue to A$5.3 billion. Underlying profit, which strips out one-off merger and acquisition costs, rose 15.8% to A$109.3m, stepping up the 10% growth Ebos experienced in the September quarter.The firm’s dominant healthcare segment posted a 17% increase in earnings before interest...
