Fletcher Building told the market before its annual meeting on Friday that earnings before interest and tax (Ebit) before significant items were tracking “slightly behind” the company’s previous expectations, due to residential sector softening in its New Zealand business.“Our market shares are stable and we are seeing solid pricing in our materials businesses, however, there is strong price competition in the merchant distribution channel,” chief executive Ross Taylor said.He told the New Zealand stock exchan...
