MARKET CLOSE: NZ shares mixed as investors turn cautious

NZ shares were mixed as cautious traders faced up to the realities of the ongoing economic crisis. The S&P/NZX 50 Index fell 2.08 points, or 0.02 percent, to 10,788.06. Within the index, 23 stocks rose, 20 fell and seven were unchanged. Turnover was $110.6 million.
