A mixed night on Wall Street won’t spur much local buying as investors await the Reserve Bank’s rate decision and commentary tomorrow and also keep one eye on US-China tensions. China has placed sanctions on 11 US citizens, including legislators and the heads of several US-based non-governmental organisations, the Guardian reported. The move follows the US announcing sanctions on Hong Kong’s chief executive, Carrie Lam, as well as 10 other senior Chinese and Hong Kong officials late last week.
