NZX-listed automation and robotics company Scott Technology has signed a record US$35 million (NZ$53m) deal with a Canadian beef giant.Described as its largest-ever project, the deal with JBS Foods Canada will see Scott design and build a fully automated warehousing system for a plant in Brooks, Alberta, capable of handling 85,000 cartons.The current process relies on manual labour and the plant employs more than 2,800 people.Scott Technology chief executive John Kippenberger said, as in New Zealand, North American companies were experiencing w...
