Global dairy prices have slipped at the final auction of the year.The overall Global Dairy Trade (GDT) Index eased 2.8% to an average price of US$4,148 (NZ$7,202) a metric tonne, with all prices in decline except lightly traded lactose, which was up 0.5% at US$9,15/MT (NZ$1,588.69).The final fortnightly auction of 2024 was a shorter event with less volume on the block.Auctions in recent weeks have been buoyed by Chinese demand stockpiling ahead of Christmas and Lunar New Year, which has contributed to strong uplifts in pricing.Whole milk p...
