Taupō-based dairy processor Miraka has upped its forecast milk price for the season.It is now forecasting a payout of $9.17 per kilogram of milk solid (kgMS) for 2024/25 season, having opened at $8.42/kgMS.The processor’s new forecast is above Fonterra’s $9/kgMS and Synlait Milk’s $8.60/kgMS and comes after global dairy prices jumped 1.2% to US$3851 (NZ$6108) a metric tonne at the latest Global Dairy Trade auction.At the auction, whole milk powder – which makes up half of the volume at the auction and has the biggest inf...
