Peru citrus exports allowed into NZ for first time

Peruvian citrus exporters have been given the green light to ship mandarins, oranges, tangelos and limes to New Zealand for the first time.Biosecurity NZ’s import and export standards director, Lisa Winthrop, said the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Agraria del (SENASA) Peru signed two export plans on Sept 16 to boost two-way trade between the two countries. “The first of those plans enables the import of Peru citrus into New Zealand for the first time," Winthrop said.She said it outl...
