A record amount of Fonterra Co-operative Group’s milk solids has been allocated to its fixed-price programme this year.A total of 120 million kilograms of milk solids (kgMS) was allocated – the highest since the tool was introduced in 2019.It represented around 8% of the current season’s forecast production of 1.49 billion kgMS and comes when current farmgate payouts are sitting at record levels.The co-op’s Fixed Milk Price tool aims to give farmers greater income certainty.Farmers can fix the price of up to 50% of their...
