A recovery in retail spending “paused for breath” in November but the stage is set for more positive conditions next year, said Westpac senior economist Satish Ranchhod.The total value of electronic card spending, including non-retail services and non-retail categories, fell 0.1% to $9.57 billion in November from October, according to Stats NZ.
