The 90% vaccination target took on even more importance when the government announced passing that threshold would be the key to moving from the alert level system of lockdowns to one in which fully vaccinated people can enjoy most freedoms with the use of vaccine passports.Within Auckland, the change would be activated when all three DHB areas hit 90%, while for the rest of the country, all DHBs would need to hit 90% – although the government did say it was open to moving the South Island to the new system ahead of the North if all DHBs...
